The Supervisory Board of USG People announces its intention to appoint Hubert Vanhoe as COO of the company with effect from 1 December 2011.
Hubert Vanhoe (1963) has worked for USG People since 2005, the last four years of which as Vice President of USG People in Belgium. After studying Communication Science at the University of Brussels he went on to obtain an MBA from the Open University Business School. During his career Hubert Vanhoe held various commercial management positions with companies including DHL and Manpower before moving to the role of Managing Director of Office Depot and Staples (formerly Corporate Express). In 2005 he made the switch to Start People in Belgium as General Manager and was appointed Vice President of USG People in Belgium just over two years later. Within the Executive Board Hubert will from 1 December 2011 be responsible for Professional Solutions and a number of specialist labels. Within the Executive Board responsibility for General Staffing and the specialist labels Unique and Secretary Plus will lie with Eric de Jong from 1 December 2011.
The Supervisory Board: “We are pleased that Hubert Vanhoe has accepted the job of COO and will be strengthening the Executive Board with his knowledge and expertise. He is an excellent fit with the current Executive Board team and represents sound commercial and operational added value. The very strong results in Belgium in the past few years confirm us in our decision to make him responsible for brands including those in the Professional Solutions segment, the division where USG People wants to achieve the greatest growth.”

The formal appointment of Hubert Vanhoe as COO will take place after the official notification of the General Meeting of Shareholders on 10 May 2012.
